Hi everyone, just posting an update regarding the situation with guided tours in Scotland.
The Scottish government have announced today the 21st of December 2021 that the Edinburgh Hogmanay party has been cancelled due to the new Omicron variant, and also various other measures for the hospitality and guided tour industry.
We must not let today go by without mentioning Panam flight 103 that was destroyed over the town of Lockerbie in the Scottish Borders, by a bomb that had been planted on board on the 21st of December 1988 243 passengers and 16 crew died, my thoughts go out to all the families that lost loved ones on that night and of course anybody who was directly affected. R.I.P
As we move towards Christmas and a New Year on the horizon we can only hope that 2022 will be better than 2021 and will allow guided tours, for everybody who is coming to visit Scotland on tour next year with Purple Heather Scottish Tours, I cannot wait to welcome you all to my beautiful country and I am sure you will have the best time ever.
