Flights from Scotland To America and Covid 19

In January of 2020 I was so excited when I travelled to New York, to be an exhibitor with a booth at the New York Times Travel show at the Javits Centre, promoting the private luxury tours of Scotland from Purple Heather Scottish Tours.

As an independent tour guide in Scotland I met so many amazing people from all over the world, and New Yorkers have a special place in my heart as they were so welcoming, returning home and just a few weeks later to see the Javits Centre turned into a makeshift hospital broke my heart. As the Pandemic took hold all over the world it was just awful, and although tourism has suffered, we must never lose sight of how many human beings died from this horrible Covid 19 and still are.

On a more positive note, I am delighted that flights have started travelling to America again from the UK  this week after such a long absence this can only be a good thing, looking ahead to next year for tourism and for the Scottish economy in general I hope we can all start to make some kind of recovery.

With the amount of enquiries I have had for guided and luxury tours next year for people wishing  to travel once again to our Beautiful Country of Scotland is incredible, and maybe give us the lucky ones who have survived hope.

Stay Safe
