The Ups and Downs of an independent tour guide in Scotland

The last week has had some ups and downs, let’s concentrate on the good news firstly. We are finding that there seems to be an uptake in interest for private and bespoke day tours next year which of course after the last 18 months is great news, let’s hope it stays that way and we can get back to some kind of normality. Another bit of good news this week was that United Airlines are to resume a daily direct flight from New York/ Newark, from the 5th of March to Edinburgh and then from the 7th of May, services will resume from Chicago and Washington direct to the Scottish capital as well. This is great news for everyone looking to come over for a guided private tour of Scotland.

Looking back, the big event that happened in November was of course Cop 26 in Glasgow, I was delighted to be part of such a world event that of course could go some way to shaping our long term future, providing my vehicle and myself to Chauffeur clients around.

And not forgetting the sad news that a new variant has emerged called Omicron, thankfully not too many cases and let’s hope that it stays that way, but we must stay positive.

Stay safe
